Jerry is a builder who works with consumers. He has freelance and employed specialists working for him under his business and an admin assistant who supports him with paperwork and email management.
Unfortunately Jerry has an accident on the way to work and is rushed to hospital. His wife Alison is called, as she is his next of kin on his medical notes.
Alison arrives at hospital to find that Jerry is seriously injured, due to his head injury, he is in a medically induced coma and she is unable to communicate with him. They have spoken before about his thoughts on life saving treatment under these circumstances, so Alison informs the team that he would want them to try everything they could to keep him alive and able to return to his family and work some day.
Alison of course then contacts family and immediate friends to inform them and gain some support. She then panics that Jerry is the main earner and whilst he has life insurance, his business, that he built up over the last 15 years, is what keeps the family afloat. She knows how much he’s put into running his business, but has never really been involved. She’s met some of the lads on site visits and she’s met his assistant several times.
What happens next depends on 2 options. Does Jerry have, or not have WilPlus?

Version 1 - Jerry did not have WilPlus:
Alison calls the main company number and James (the assistant) answers the phone. Alison, who’s upset and panicked tells James everything and asks what they should do? James, doesn’t normally project manage things, so he’s not sure, but he’s now worried for his job… What if Jerry doesn’t come back to work? Will the business close? Will he get paid at the end of the month? James then calls the most experienced contractor they have on the team, Bill has also never explored this eventuality with Jerry, because Jerry looks after the clients mostly and their whole project, including managing the team. Unfortunately, jobs start to get delayed, contractors aren’t showing up, clients are frustrated. They start to leave negative reviews online and are demanding their money back. But none of the team have access to the business bank account…
As you can see, things can quickly get out of control, in a very short period.
Version 2 - Jerry did invest in WilPlus:
Alison is aware that Jerry had bought the WilPlus download, as he’s also got the logo on all of his leaflets and work banners. They discussed that he would keep it in his locked cabinet at work in the office and that a spare key is at home. Alison is able to get the key and visit the office to access the WilPlus guide. In the document is everything that Jerry takes care of, with clear instructions on who can do what, where to find both physical and digital files. He’s also said that he’d like his team to be told “Hey gang, I know things are scary right now, but I trust you all to keep things moving whilst I’m in hospital. I wish I could speak with you all, but as I can’t, the Misses is here and she knows more than anyone, how much of a fighter I am. I’ll be back with you all, as soon as I can.” It’s also explained who will take over as project manager and clear instructions to share with the bank to ensure that business can continue to run smoothly.
Alison is relieved. Not only had Jerry sorted everything, he was protecting Alison at a time where really, she just wanted to be able to be by his side… To look after the kids and focus on them all getting Jerry back. Knowing that his business will be in safe hands, is such a weight off her shoulders.
